Mike Adams
IN Events, MarketingGrowing up in South Oak Cliff, one of the tougher areas in the Dallas metroplex, Mike Adams not only knows what it means to survive trial and tribulation, but to overcome it. The 2007 undrafted free agent played eight NFL seasons as a reliable defensive back and a remarkable special teams player for the Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With hard work and discipline, Adams graduated in 2003 from Justin Ford Kimball High School where he finished with 11 career interceptions and still struggled to get a scholarship. After Coach Gary Bartell saw talent in Mike, he was offered a scholarship to Louisiana-Lafayette and soon found himself in Vermillion and White. Finishing up a successful 4-year career at Louisiana-Lafayette, Adams knew he wasn’t done yet.
Adams credits his mindset of resiliency during his adolescents, as the reason he is currently thriving in the NFL. Adams is proof that no one has to be a survivor in his or her own life. With hard work, resiliency and faith anyone can conqueror life and create their own destiny.
Mike has started The Mike Adams Conquerors Foundation, Inc. founded with the purpose of improving the mindset of our youth today. The world can be a harsh and intimidating place for our youth who have a support system, let alone for those who feel they are battling alone. Adams is creating a support system for these young children to transform their mindsets from thinking they’re merely surviving in this world, to living their life believing in this short scripture, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Romans 8:37.
